INTERDISTRICT

ISLTA Junior Branch is proud to be a part of an annual inter-district competition where teams of different age groups and genders compete against each other.

Players from the Illawarra district try out for a position in their age group's team and that team goes on to represent Illawarra by playing against teams from more than 17 Sydney metropolitan associations.

Events include:

  • Junior (boys' teams and girls' teams in ages 12U, 14U, and 16U)

  • Senior (women's and men's open teams)

  • Veteran (teams of men and women over the ages 35 and 50)

Illawarra is proud that the name Illawarra Tennis has been engraved on the George McKerihan Shield as the champion association 33 times since 1947.

This competition is usually held in Term 3 over a six to eight week schedule and includes six rounds

followed by Semis and Finals.
